For the anniversary of the ascension of 'Abdu'l-Bahá, I compiled 4 prayers (with the latest translation of the Mandarin text) by 'Abdu'l-Bahá and a song (in English) which my sister and I composed in an album titled "Where there is love". You can download the music from Spotify.
Since 2019 is the bicentenary of the birth of The Báb, I selected some prayers by The Báb and composed 2 new tunes. I compiled them in an album titled "Tribute to The Báb" (致敬之巴孛). I also included 2 previously recorded prayers by The Báb from another Mandarin album "Music of the Heart" (心灵之乐), but recorded them with the latest translation of the Mandarin text. 心灵之乐 (Music of the Heart) is the fourth album of original compositions by me. 心灵之乐 consists of the Chinese translation of Bahá‘í prayers by The Báb, Bahá‘u’lláh and 'Abdu’l-Bahá. The album consists of 10 prayers as well as the karaoke version of the prayers, making it a total of 20 tracks. I have been writing music since I was 14 years old and have performed several of my compositions during functions organised by the Bahá‘í community as well as various religious gatherings. My first album "Spiritual Stirrings" (1994) was a cassette tape (no longer available for sale) which consisted of chantings of Bahá‘í prayers and Hidden Words of Bahá‘u’lláh. "Ethereal Odes" (1996) was a compilation of original Bahá‘í songs written by my sister, Kelly and I. In 1998, I produced 숨겨진 미려 (Hidden Beauty), original Bahá‘í songs taken from the Korean translation of the Hidden Words of Bahá‘u’lláh.
My choral experience dates back to my Secondary School days in Nanyang Girls' High choir. After that, I sang with the Victoria Junior College choir, Victoria Chorale (VJC alumni choir) and Nanyang Technological University choir. In 2000 - 2003, I set up In Unison, a Bahá‘í choir, and arranged several choral pieces for the choir. I took a hiatus from the choral scene for about a decade before deciding to join ONE Chamber Choir, a semi-professional adult choir, in 2011. Although I spent a large part of that time caring for my two sons, I continued to sing and I performed (solo, duet or in small groups) at various company functions and Bahá‘í events on an adhoc basis.
